Good Evening,

Today brought gains in the same trading range which is (do you have it memorized now) 1860 to 1890 for the S&P 500. Not to sound like a broken record, but nothing will be truly gained or lost until that trading range is broken. As I stated yesterday, I’m calling myself a bear and I’m expecting to see more downside in May. The market will never make any meaningful progress until we have a real correction. On to today’s action….

Same ole, same ole, we’re in the same trading range. There’s been a lot of movement both up and down, but as we approach the end of the month the Dow and S&P are barely changed. That is what I am talking about.

For the record, I do not agree with the trend lines that are drawn above. Either way, you can take their zone or mine. The bottom line is that we are in a zone…… I will continue to monitor the charts, but I do not expect to make any moves until resistance is broken one way or the other. That’s all for tonight.
