Good Evening,

Yes sir, the S&P 500 was turned back from upper resistance in the 1890 range again, just like we predicted. Today, money started flowing back into defensive areas such as precious metals. Is it over? Will we try resistance again? I think so. As I noted yesterday (using the $SPX as I always do), the S&P 500 continues to trade in the range between 1860 and 1890. We are currently bouncing off upper resistance after recovering from a mild breach of lower resistance at the 1860 level in early  April. Starting in May, we no longer have the wind of positive seasonality at our back and that will make a big difference. At this time I favor a resolution of this formation sometime in May with a correction of 10% or greater. That analysis makes me in no hurry to buy back into equities here or on the street….

Our allocation made up a little ground today. The purpose of being where we are is not to make money though, but rather to preserve it. There will be better chances to make money when the market isn’t bouncing off of overhead resistance. I probably won’t re-balance unless I’m forced to do so, as I would prefer to wait and see what happens in May. I have a sneaking suspicion that the old adage sell in May and go away may work in 2014. Either way, I’ll read my charts and trust my God. Then I will make the necessary adjustments. That’s all for tonight. May God continue to bless your trades!
Have a nice evening.

Good Morning, I hate writing about things like this. Nobody really wants to hear it but it’s something that must be done. Are my message boards flooded? Oh yeah. You’ve got the combination of an unprecedented global event coupled with the fact that a lot of folks that are trading now never experienced a market…

Good Morning, Well where do I start? Someone asked me  if I was comfortable with my position in the market. I’m never comfortable when the market is volatile. It’s a difficult market to trade. If you watch it day my day then you’ll feel like your wrong about half the time. In the past when…

Good Morning, And…. the roller coaster rolls on. Stocks are up big this morning on news that President Trump may hold back some of the Tariffs scheduled to be put in place on April 2nd. Of course that is good for us as we moved to the S Fund on Friday. We moved a little…
