11/12/14

Good Evening,

The market continued to melt up today but encountered the overhead resistance we have been discussing and ended up closing a little off on the day. Nothing to be concerned about though. At this point, it’s no more than a little healthy consolidation. There’s only so many ways to say the same thing. We have an extended market that just won’t quit. Small caps out performed today so our TSP allotment with 70% S Fund (which gives us as much exposure to small caps as we can get in TSP) managed a small gain. AMP did even better as it is invested in areas that aren’t available in Thrift. We have talked and talked and talked some more about this kind of action taking place so it should come as no surprise to anyone taking this newsletter. That said, our allocations are hanging in there and we are getting what this market has to give. Last month it was big and this month not so much.  How is it that old Huey Lewis and the News song goes, We’re takin’ what their given cause we’re workin for a livin…  Well we’re working for what we’re getting too! The Lord continues to bless our hand. Give Him all the praise!

Dow, S&P 500 dip, end 5-day streak of closing highs

The day’s action left us with the following signals: For those of you new to this newsletter, I read each chart on a daily basis and give it a Buy, Sell, or Neutral rating. The signals for today are: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Neutral, and F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 30/C, 70/S. Our allocation is now -1.13% on the year not including today’s results: Here are the latest posted results:

This chart is still a solid buy, but remains extended and is now encountering resistance. I have no concerns yet. However, we must watch to make sure that price does not penetrate support at 2020.

It is and has been my thought that this market will continue to melt up and sideways into the holidays. At some point, the pressure will be too much and the market will move to relieve it. Whether, that will be a correction or just a small dip I can’t say. As always. I will depend on my charts to tell me when the pressure is too much! That’s all for tonight. May God continue to bless your trades.
Have a great evening!

Good Afternoon, Are ya’ll  getting motion sickness? I think I am. What a volatile up and down, give and take market! It looks like its going to be a bad day then it reverses. Then is looks like we’re going to make a lot of money and the market tanks. There’s just no rest for…

Good Morning, The world remains in turmoil. So what else is new. My charts continue to tell me that this market is bottoming but fundamentals would suggest otherwise. Which one do I follow? Of course I will roll with the math as I almost always do. It has and uncanny way of predicted what might…

Good Morning, PAIN  This market is clearly defined by pain. There is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that seems to remain just our of reach. Everyone knows that the market will rally when the conflict in Iran is resolved given that the straight of Hormuz is open for business. That…
