Good Evening, Tech earnings disappointed today with IBM and United Technology missing the market and dragging the market lower. Apple reported after the bell and slightly beat earnings, but gave poor guidance so the negativity continues into after hours trading which will probably means more of the same tomorrow. There were a few individual stocks working such as FIT and FB. However, breadth was poor at around 1.51 to 1 so the major indices were all in the red for the day.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was off -0.43%. For comparison the Dow dropped -1.00%, the Nasdaq -0.21%, and the S&P 500 -0.43%.

Lets take a look at the charts:  (All signals annotated with Green Circles)

C Fund: Price lost a little ground, but still managed to finish above it’s 5 EMA. So this ones still a buy.

C Fund

S Fund: The PMO and VTX both went negative so this one is now at neutral. The EMA’s are in a jumble and heading down. So we can expect a sell signal here without a strong day tomorrow.

S Fund

I Fund: Price fell back slightly but is still above it’s 5 EMA and will bring this one back up to a buy signal if it can continue to hold it’s ground. So far it has been unable to penetrate resistance at 65.60 and is trading sideways.

I Fund

F Fund: Price made a slight gain today, but continues to move sideways in it’s established trading channel. This one is about the same at neutral.

The charts deteriorated just a little today. Overall, they seem unable to decide which way they are going to go. We’ll keep watching until we get some clarity. Right now it’s looking like we’ll have a weak start tomorrow. However, given recent history, we should never count the dip buyers out. If they show up they can make things very interesting. That’s all for tonight. May God continue to bless your trades! See you tomorrow.

God bless, Scott8-)

Good Morning, Another day another challenge. This market is anything other than boring and I say that not necessarily in a good way! When it comes to the market I think boring is good. That means less volatility and that means less stress. Nonetheless, we have what we have and we must deal with it.…

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…
