Good Evening, The market was pretty flat again which is typical of the dog days of summer. Seasonally speaking, August has the lowest average of any month for the stock market since they started keep such records. So it is a rare bird indeed when you make any meaningful gains in this month. While the Nasdaq did set a new record stocks as a whole aren’t moving very far out of the tight range that they have been in the past 7 weeks. That said many experts are calling for the market to move higher. You can click on the news link below if you want to know more about that. As I often say, I’m not a prognosticator! I am a reactive trader. Not that I totally ignore fundamentals in my analysis, but I place a greater emphasis on the charts when making investment decisions.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.26%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.02%, the Nasdaq +0.24%, and the S&P 500 +0.04%.
