Good Evening, The broader market ignored the history making US/North Korean summit with the major indices coming in mixed on the the day. Although there was an agreement to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula no details were released. The markets reaction was like OK, I’ll get excited when you really show me something. Also, not to be overlooked is the conclusion of this months FOMC meeting tomorrow. Investors seem to be pausing ahead of the announcement tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM ET. Another rate increase is pretty well expected. So that won’t upset the apple cart, but what investors will be looking closely at is the Fed Statement. They will be watching to see how hawkish it is concerning future rate hikes. If it is too hawkish you will see a strong bout of selling. If not then the market will rally. Of course any negative statement about inflation will lead to more selling. We will just have to wait and see.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment had another nice day posting a gain of +0.41%. I praise God for that. For comparison, the Dow was flat at -0.01%, the Nasdaq was up +0.57%, and the S&P 500 added +0.17%.

 

S&P 500, Nasdaq end higher; investors turn focus to Fed

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +7.43% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results.
